Confess is such a wonderful book. This is the second one I read by Colleen Hoover and I am not disappointed at all. I first read November 9 and I still remember every details of the plot and I already know that it will be the same with this novel. Once again, Colleen Hoover perfectly knows how to deal with suspense and romance. She builds strong characters that we love or hate, but we are never left indifferent. From the beginning to the end of this book, I’ve always been trying to discover what was the link between Auburn (I love this name by the way!) and Owen, but once again, I was so far away! Colleen Hoover definitely knows how to keep the reader attentive and gives us the will to read even more and more. I was always thinking ‘just one more chapter’ and finally I had more than hundred pages read. I was split between the will to know the end and the fact that I didn’t want this book to end.
I don’t know if you remember, but when I reviewed November 9, I wrote : ‘I thought it was about a beautiful love story between a boy and a girl that destiny had reunited, but I was wrong. It is much deeper than that and my feelings proved it. Indeed, during my reading, I laughed, I cried, I’ve been angry and disappointed, but most of all, I fell in love with love. Yes, this novel taught me lots of things about life and love, and even if I have been through a lot of things like diseases, I had a lot more to learn about difficulties of life and forgiveness.’ Well, this is so true for this novel too. I have learnt so many things about love, faith and life and I know that this story is not just a story, but this is what about life is. If we could all learn something about this novel, world would certainly be better for all of us.
